Thrifting...

DO NOT underestimate your local Goodwill!!  I rarely ever buy new clothes, and almost always shop at thrift stores for them.  You just have to take a little time to sort through the racks.  One tip I have is to scan the rack, and almost always you can rule things out by color, texture or pattern.  If I see something I "think" will work I put it right in the cart and move on.  It is so much easier to sort them out once you have them in your cart, then to do it right there in the aisle!  Check back often, they get new items in weekly and sometimes daily!
